Maxflame Dual Fuel Hot Air Burners

SERIES 6821

6821 HOT AIR MAXFLAME DUAL FUEL BURNERS are designed with the heat
release range of 1 to 10 million Kcal/hr and can be used for the application such as steel reheat, aluminium melting,
process heaters, and other high temperature applications upto the temperature of 1400 C. MaxFLame Dual Fuel Burners
operate with hot combustion air upto 650 C from Recuperator or other heat recovery devices to save energy. Normal
capacities are rated at 525 C air at a pressure of 25 mbar.

CONSTRUCTION Bodies are fabricated heavygauge carbon steel and
lined with ceramic fiber and the stabilizing disc is faced with high alumina refractory.

FUEL Gas with 4000 Kcal/m or higher calorific values can be used
with this burner. Light/Heavy Oil both can be used.

OPERATION Gas flames are stable in cold, tight combustion chambers
with ambient or high temperature combustion air. Under these conditions, the flame is semi-luminious. For stoichiometric
firing, required natural gas pressure is approximately 60% of the air pressure when firing at maximum capacity on cold
air. Gas pressure requirement will be less when firing with hot combustion air. Atomizing Air at 15 mbar must be used
when firing with gas. MaxFlame Burners use 5654 low pressure (cold) air atomizers that require 125-mbar air pressure.
Heavy oil must be heated to reduce viscosity to100 SSU. Stoichiometric operation requires less than 275 mbar oil
pressure at the nozzle.

FLAME SUPERVISION UV detectors and flame rods are preferrd

IGNITION If a pilot is used, it must be interrupted within 10
seconds after main burner ignition. Direct Spark Ignitors can also be used for ignition. Torch Lighting of MaxFlame
Burners is not recommended, due to the high tile pressures.

CONTROL The burner can be lighted with maximum main air pressure
of 25 mbar and turndown to 5mbar. Due to the hot air stoic gas pressure of approximately 0.6 (or less) X air pressure,
either a cross-connected regulator system or electronic mass flow control system can be used.
