Dual Fuel Low CV Gas Burner

WESMAN 6422XP DUAL FUEL LOW CV GAS BURNERS are designed for low CV gas (calorific value 1100kcal/m) and any oil for heat treatment and non-ferrous melting furnaces, kilns, ovens, air heaters, dryers, chemical process equipment and other applications where temperature uniformity is required. Burners can be lit at rich, lean or correct air/fuel ratio, then immediately turned to high fire. Required gas pressure at the burners 175 to 225 mmwg for producer gas. During gas operation use at least 175 mmwg atomizing air to cool atomizer (full atomizing air may be used). For extended operations with gas, atomizer can be withdrawn and stored. Air and gas inlets can be rotated in 90 intervals. Air and gas pipes should be connected from top or side to prevent oil dripping into them. During installation, burner body can be separated from mounting plate and tile assembly. Wesman 6422XP burners can be also used with higher CV gases after modification of internal components.

EXCESS AIR Excess air can improve temperature uniformity by avoiding hot spots in front of burners, by churning furnace pressure to eliminate cold air infiltration. Excess air give very high effective burner turndown. Thus a furnace used for high temperature work (such as heat treating at 1040°C) with burners firing on stoichiometric air/fuel ratio can also be used for low temperature jobs (such as drawing or drying at 315°C) with burners firing on lean ratio.
