WESMAN MODEL WSA PORTABLE SAND AERATORS are manufactured in one standard size and designed to handle any grade of foundry sand. Nominal rated capacity is 6 m3 of sand per hour (9 to 10 tonnes).

The combing and throwing actions of the aerator liberate steam, particular for backing sand, cooling it down and opening it up to produce uniform fluffed-up sand.

The Wesman Portable Aerator sand combing belt is designed for longer life and cost-effective replacement. Unlike other aerators in which steel fingers are embedded in the belt, the WSA has blade strips bolted across the belt width. These blades are much less susceptible to damage, and can be changed without replacing the entire belt.

As the aerator is a portable machine, it can be fed either by shovel, or where available, by regulated-feed devices like bucket elevators or screw feeders

Other features of the Wesman Portable Aerator include a chute for removing lumps, larger wheel diameter for easier maneuvering, and a provision to attach an optional magnet for separation of metal particles. The magnet, if ordered, is supplied by Wesman at extra cost.
