| SILICATE SAND RECLAMATION SYSTEM |
|
Silicate / CO2 binder system or Sodium Silicate binder system is an old and proven system for mould/core making that has specific disadvantages like poor collapsibility and tendency to absorb moisture specially during monsoon times and areas with high humidity. However, the silicate process is popular due to it’s non-toxic and user–friendly nature. Sand used in the Sodium silicate binder system is relatively difficult to reclaim. Indian foundries using this process faced increase in cost of production of castings due to high cost of new sand and additional expenditure on disposal of used sand as all the sand after pouring had to be disposed. To solve this problem of reclamation, Wesman undertook and successfully developed indigenously a reliable and efficient Reclamation System that has been used successfully in many foundries all over India and has the largest references for such plants amongst other suppliers. Silicate Sand Attrition Reclamation system from Wesman takes care of all possible difficulties in reclamation. This system is being used by a number of foundries in India. It includes the following equipment which takes care of knock out of the castings from the moulds and subsequent conveying as well as reclamation of the de-moulded sand and finally conveying of the same to the storage. Dust generated during the process is collected in a Dust Collector.
Silicate Sand Reclamation Systems are available in the capacities ranging from 1 TPH, 3 TPH, 6 TPH and 10 TPH. Wesman supplies the complete plant on a turn-key basis including erection and commissioning. |
